This week, the global community of airport innovators, start-ups, visionary thinkers, researchers and top tech minds gathers at Rome Fiumicino Airport for AIRPORTS INNOVATE 2024. The conference, organised jointly by ACI EUROPE, ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East and ACI World, and hosted by Aeroporti di Roma, will chart the future of air travel, pooling innovative solutions, groundbreaking tools and know-how from across the globe.

AEON MALL Co., Ltd., Kansai Airports, SAFFAIRE SKY ENERGY, and REVO International Inc. are collaborating to install household waste cooking oil bins at five AEON MALLs in Osaka Prefecture, starting from early January 2025. The collected household waste cooking oil will be recycled as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
Wellington Airport has unveiled a new brand along with plans for $500 million in new infrastructure spending over the next five years, including runway safety improvements, Lyall Bay community facilities and terminal enhancements.
The main objective of this event was to promote the Southeast Asian and Northeast Asian routes of Macau International Airport (MIA), encouraging more residents from the Greater Bay Area (GBA) to choose Macau as a transit point when travelling to those regions.
