Background and Objectives

The ACI Asia-Pacific Green Airports Recognition aims to promote environmental best practices to minimize aviation’s impact on the environment and to recognize ACI Asia-Pacific airport members who have outstanding accomplishments in their environmental projects.

By participating in this initiative, airports have the opportunity to share their environmental projects with other airports in the region and have the chance to be recognized for outstanding achievements.

The Green Airports Recognition 2021 is now open for applications!

Green Airports Recognition 2021

Now in its fifth year, Green Airports Recognition 2021 will focus on Air Quality Management, specifically emphasizing the benefit of local air quality management benefit rather than CO2 emission, and excluding indoor air quality. This theme includes projects that aim to improve airport local air quality and air pollutant reduction.

Platinum, Gold and Silver recognitions will be awarded to the top three submissions per airport size category.

For further information on the Green Airports Recognition programme application and submission, please download the Programme Description, Application Form and Project Form.
