25 February 2016   ACI Asia-Pacific Announces the Young Executive of the Year 2016

[February 25, 2016 – Hong Kong] ACI Asia-Pacific is pleased to announce that Mr. Sunil Kumar Munnangi of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited is named the Winner of ACI Asia-Pacific Young Executive of the Year 2016.

 

Mrs. Patti Chau, Regional Director, ACI Asia-Pacific said, “I would like to congratulate this year’s winner, Mr. Sunil Kumar Munnangi of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited for his submission on the topic Effective Collaboration and Cooperation among Airport Stakeholders. His research provided an in-depth analysis in achieving good stakeholder management. The YE Award introduced back in 2009 has identified some very talented individuals, sharing their innovative ideas and solutions on how they would tackle our industry’s challenges.  The Award strives to honor and recognize our industry’s younger generations.”

 

A total of ten submissions were received this year and the papers were reviewed by a Panel of Judges (the Panel) chaired by Mr. Emmanuel Menanteau, Chief Executive Officer of Cambodia Airports and Secretary Treasurer of ACI Asia-Pacific.

 

The Panel concluded that the submission of Mr. Sunil Kumar Munnangi, on the topic Effective Collaboration and Cooperation among Airport Stakeholders, covered off the balance between key stakeholders at the airports and offered some sound case studies to support his paper.

 

The Panel also unanimously decided to give Honorable Mentions to Mr. Mohd Khairulfatin Zulhaimi of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad for his quality submission on Effective Collaboration and Cooperation among Airport Stakeholders and Mr. Hideki Namiki of Narita International Airport Corporation for his outstanding paper on Promotion of Safety Culture at Airports.

 

ACI Asia-Pacific Young Executive of the Year Award is a research paper competition, introduced in 2009, to encourage and promote innovative ideas and solutions to challenges facing the aviation industry. The outstanding young talent who contributes the best research paper on a selected topic will be honored as the ACI Asia-Pacific Young Executive of the Year. This year’s candidates were required to submit research papers on one of the topics below:

 

  • Effective collaboration and cooperation among airport stakeholders
  • Promotion of safety culture at airports

 

The award presentation ceremony will be held on 19 April 2016 at the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly Meeting in the Gold Coast, Australia - http://www.aci-apaa2016.com
