ACI Asia-Pacific has been playing an active role in representing and promoting airports’ interests through ICAO in the area of aviation security. The 11th ICAO Asia & Pacific Regional Aviation Security Coordination Forum (RASCF-APAC/11) was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 26-27 July, 2023. As an annual regional security forum, hosted by ICAO, the event was attended by over 70 aviation security experts from state regulators and industry associations from across Asia-Pacific region.
Sustainability and its implications on human resources were the central topic of discussion at the recent ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Human Resources Committee meeting in Kobe, Japan. ACI Asia-Pacific has announced the winner of the Association’s signature Human Resources programme, the Young Executive Award 2023. Ms. Noor Sabrina, who served as Senior Executive Stakeholder Relations & Regulatory Affairs at Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad until recently, has been declared as the winner. The panel of judges also awarded Honourable Mentions to Mr. Sami Abu-Hmeidan of Queen Alia International Airport (Airport International Group) and Mr. Shoichi Higuchi of Narita International Airport Corporation.
