Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) announced that Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) recorded increases in passengers and air traffic movements in May 2019. Passenger throughput increased 3.2% to 6.2 million compared to the same month last year, while flight movements rose 0.9% to 36,305.

The number of airline passengers who travelled through Melbourne Airport last month grew by 2.3 per cent compared to April last year. International traveller numbers hit 940,795, a rise of 4.9 per cent since April 2018. Meanwhile, the number of domestic passengers rose to 2,186,105, an increase of 1.2 per cent on April 2018.
Passenger traffic across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East recorded moderate growth in February at +2.7% and +2.5% respectively. China posted a robust growth of approximately +7.0% in passenger traffic from last year, sustained by solid domestic demands and supported by increased leisure travel demand during the Lunar New Year.
