KIX, ITAMI, KOBE February 2022 Traffic Report

International passenger traffic remained limited as border restrictions were tightened again in response to the Omicron variant of COVID-19.


Meanwhile, domestic passenger traffic for the three airports declined further from the previous month, standing at about 40% of the pre-pandemic level recorded in February 2019, as the Omicron wave sweeps across Japan.


International cargo traffic remained strong, with aircraft movements and cargo volumes continuously exceeding the 2021 levels.
