Sustainability Efforts of Taoyuan International Airport Corporation (TIAC) were Recognised by Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards

TIAC has been working on the ESG issues for many years, and regularly publishes sustainability reports to disclose the TIAC's sustainable actions. On 16 November, TIAC won the three awards of 2022 Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award (TCSA), including "Top 100 Sustainability Model Award", "Corporate Sustainability Report - the Platinum Award in the Transportation Industry", and "Growth Through Innovation Leader Award."
TIAC chairman, Kuo-Shian Lin, accepted the awards and said that TIAC took the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to implement sustainable actions, with outstanding results in ESG. Regarding the environment (E), TIAC follows the United Nations Paris Agreement and national climate change policy, to formulate the 2050 net-zero emissions roadmap. It was awarded by ACI, the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 3 - Optimisation certificate and the Gold Award in the Green Airports Recognition. In terms of society (S), TIAC pays attention to the needs of internal and external stakeholders, creating an airport environment for passengers, employees, and the community. For this, TIAC has won the Voice of the Customer Recognition for two consecutive years, and the Airport Health Accreditation Program (AHA) accreditation, also by ACI. In terms of governance (G), facing the challenges of COVID-19, TIAC implemented Covid prevention resources of the highest level. It also put preemptive preparedness in smart airports and cargo, such as the Flight Operation System (FOS), which obtained the national patent. Our international cargo volume ranks fourth in the world, consolidating Taoyuan International Airport's position in the global aviation industry.
Kuo-Shian Lin said that as the national gateway, Taoyuan Airport has the responsibility to promote the sustainable development of Taiwan, and encourage the airport alliance to jointly implement ESG actions, including airlines, ground handling companies, cargo operators, and other airport partners. In the future, TIAC will continue to take the United Nations and Taiwan's sustainable policies as the core, and work with the airport alliance to build a sustainable airport park.
