The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific today announced Mr. Emmanuel Menanteau as the new President for the association’s Regional Board, succeeding Mr. Seow Hiang Lee, commencing June 1, 2022 to end of 2024.
The 17th Airport Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly Meeting 2022, held in Singapore on 18th May 2022, is the first in-person Regional Assembly Meeting held since the outbreak of COVID-19. As the epidemic development and immigration policies vary between different countries, the virtual meeting was held at the same time, for airport members and airline representatives from all over the world to attend.
Airports Council International Asia-Pacific (ACI) has appointed Managing Director of Malaysia Airports, Dato’ Iskandar Mizal Mahmood as Regional Board Director at the 17th ACI Regional Assembly Board Meeting. Dato’ Iskandar joins three other newly appointed Regional Board Directors for a three-year term commencing June 2022.
On 16 May 2022, Airports Council International World (ACI World), Airports Council International Asia-Pacific (ACI Asia-Pacific) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to conduct research and studies and develop and deliver training for aviation professionals. The training will equip aviation professionals with new knowledge and skills to help them rebuild their respective aviation sectors which have been badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in the last two years.
On 16 May 2022, Airports Council International World (ACI World), Airports Council International Asia-Pacific (ACI Asia-Pacific) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to conduct research and studies and jointly develop and deliver training programmes for aviation professionals. The training programmes will equip aviation professionals with new knowledge and skills to help them rebuild their respective aviation sectors which have been badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in the last two years.
Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific had the pleasure of being invited to speak with a group of undergraduate students from the Investment and Research Society of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUIRS) on 14th April.

The visit with General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) began on the heels of the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Board’s meeting.
