The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
Airbus and Kansai Airports have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the use of hydrogen at three of the Group’s airports in Japan (Kansai International Airport, Osaka International Airport, and Kobe Airport).

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) today received an inaugural rating of 74 out of 100 for its environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance from Standard & Poor Global Ratings (S&P), reflecting what S&P describes as AAHK’s “good capabilities to address its moderate yet growing environmental and social exposure, and focus on maintaining its capacity to navigate potential disruptions”. Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), operated and managed by AAHK, is the first airport with its ESG rating publicised by S&P globally.
As part of its commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030, Perth Airport has partnered with Carbon Neutral to offset its bus fleets as well as offering motorists the opportunity to offset their trip to and from the airport when booking parking online.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport has won the silver award in the Airports Council International’s (ACI) Green Airports Recognition 2022 programme. HYD International Airport has won this award, in the 15-50 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) category in the Asia – Pacific region for its efficient Carbon Management process. Starting from 2018, this is the 5th consecutive year that GMR Hyderabad International Airport has won this award.
Airports Council International (ACI) recently announced the winners for green airports in the Asia-Pacific region in 2022, and TIA won the honor of gold award in the 15 to 50 million passengers category by its “Lean Power Consumption and Carbon Reduction” project.
Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) was recently acknowledged by Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific as one of only 12 airports in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East to receive the Green Airports Recognition 2022 for airports serving 5 to 15 million passengers. QAIA was granted Gold recognition for its dedicated efforts in transitioning towards a sustainable, low-carbon future, focusing on its achievements in heating and cooling system improvements.
To meet Hamad International Airport's (HIA) commitment to environmental preservation and its objective of achieving zero landfill, the airport is recycling organic compost from green waste generated during landscaping activities.
