Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), an association representing 624 airports, delivered two important presentations at the ICAO Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for Middle East region in Riyadh, highlighting the critical need for enhancing air connectivity and seamlessly integrating Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into the current air transportation framework.
Gold Coast Airport has recorded its busiest February since pre-covid with more than 429,000 passengers travelling through the terminal last month.
The total passenger traffic for the 3 airports reached 70% recovery from February 2019. The international passenger traffic is making further recovery, similarly to last month, especially with foreign passengers (53% from February 2019), and its recovery rate reached 46% from February 2019.
Kansai Airports is delighted to announce that the number of international scheduled flights per week for summer 2023 is expected to be 869*1 excluding international passengers flights to China (55% of 2019*2, during September peak), supported by a full-scale international passenger traffic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis in East Asia and Southeast Asia and a continued strong international cargo traffic. The number of international cargo flights will be 211 per week, the second highest on record for the summer schedule.

Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that Greater Bay Airlines (HB) will launch a new KIXHong Kong route on Friday, April 28, 2023. Greater Bay Airlines is based in Hong Kong and operates four routes to Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, and Narita Airport in Japan, and plans 104 future routes connecting the Greater Bay Area, which includes Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangdong Province, with China and the rest of Asia. The airline also offers service and convenience as a Value Airline, which sets itself apart from LCCs while maintaining excellent cost performance.
