Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), an association representing 624 airports, delivered two important presentations at the ICAO Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for Middle East region in Riyadh, highlighting the critical need for enhancing air connectivity and seamlessly integrating Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into the current air transportation framework.
On 19 August, Taoyuan International Airport Corporation (TIAC) held an interim Board meeting to select Mr. Hsiao-Lun Fan as the new Board member and CEO of TIAC, filling the vacancy left by Mr. Jerry Dann, who retired that day.
Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport) continues to be the No.1 airport for handling perishable shipments from India. BLR Airport recorded 52,366 Metric Tonnes (MT) of perishable shipments in FY 2021-22, compared to the previous year’s 48,130 MT. 41% of South India’s air-cargo perishable tonnage is currently handled by BLR Airport making it the leading airport for perishables in India.

Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) operator, and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, have signed a long-term cooperation agreement that is aimed at boosting the services of both parties, with the purpose of increasing the operations of the Air Arabia group of airlines into Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
Delhi Airport, managed by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited-led consortium, has received the prestigious National Award for Excellence in Energy Management by CII-Green Business Centre (GBC). It has also received National Energy Leader Award for the year 2021.
The 7th China Airport Service Conference, co-hosted by China Civil Airports Association (CCAA), China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology and CAAC News, was held in Beijing on 5th September 2022. Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), as a Board member of the Association, Chief Representative of Beijing Representative Office of CAM Ms. Yuan Weifang represented to attend the conference.
Starting from 22nd September 2022, a display screen will be installed at the Arrival Hall of Macau International Airport to display the departure flights information from Zhuhai Airport and the ferry schedule from Pac On Ferry Terminal to Mainland China, the arrangement enhance the cooperation between Zhuhai and Macau Airports in information exchange, and provide convenience for passengers to obtain relevant flight information.
Airport Authority Hong Kong welcomes the Government’s adjustment of quarantine arrangement for inbound passengers. AAHK looks forward to the continuous recovery of air traffic. We are working closely with the airport community to prepare for the expected increase of flights and passengers.
