The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
The number of non-Japanese passengers reached a record high of 1.67 million* in a single month, the highest since the airport’s opening. The overall international passenger traffic recovered to 95% of the same month in 2019, surpassing 2 million in a single month forthe first time since the outbreak of COVID-19.

Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) today released Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) air traffic statistics for July 2024. During the month, HKIA handled around 4.8 million passengers, representing a 24.7% year-on-year growth, while cargo throughput was up 14.6% to 414,000 tonnes in July. Flight movements increased to 31,100, up 29.3% compared to July 2023.

Bangalore International Airport Ltd, the operator of Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport), is pleased to announce the expansion of Japan Airlines (JAL) Group’s flight services from BLR Airport. Airport International Group announced that Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 952,177 passengers (PAX) in July 2024, marking a 7.5% decline as opposed to 2023. During the same month, QAIA registered 7,592 aircraft movements (ACM) and handled 6,924 tons of cargo, down 6.8% and up 32.1%, respectively, against the previous year.
