Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), an association representing 624 airports, delivered two important presentations at the ICAO Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) for Middle East region in Riyadh, highlighting the critical need for enhancing air connectivity and seamlessly integrating Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into the current air transportation framework.
Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) today hosted an event in Beijing to introduce the "World of Winners" air ticket giveaway campaign to media in the capital city. The event was hosted by Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of AAHK, with Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) as guest of honour. Representatives from the Office of the Government of the HKSAR of the People's Republic of China in Beijing, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and the participating airlines of Hong Kong, also attended.
Mangaluru International Airport has scaled up its automated car parking system with the introduction of FASTag solution from April 18. The airport is introducing this upgraded solution to its parking system for passengers, greeters who come to see their families off, and those coming to the airport for meetings and park their vehicles in the designated parking lot. FASTag is an electronic toll collection system in India.
In support of the UAE Government’s NAFIS Programme and its empowerment of Emiratis in the private sector, Dubai Airports is signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Enova, a joint venture between Majid Al Futtaim and Veolia, to boost Emiratisation in Enova’s provision of Facilities Management Services.

According to Airport International Group, Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) welcomed 738,860 passengers (PAX) during March, recording a 31.6% rise against 2022 figures. QAIA also received 6,179 aircraft movements (ACM) and 5,603 tons of cargo, marking increases of 21.7% and 3.2%, respectively, compared with 2022 figures.
The "World of Winners" air ticket giveaway campaign, sponsored by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), landed on the Chinese Mainland today with a spectacular celebration event held in Shanghai. Over 1,000 people attended the launch event, which featured Hong Kong cultural performances and on-site games with more than 100 free air tickets given away as prizes. The event was officiated by Mr Fred Lam, Chief Executive Officer of AAHK.
Mangaluru International Airport observed ‘Fire Service Week’ with a scheduled simulated demonstration for stakeholders in front of the administrative office of the airport on Friday. Nationally, fire and emergency service personnel observe the week from April 14 to pay tributes to firemen who laid down their lives in the line of duty at Mumbai Dockyard on April 14, 1944. The airport personnel observed a minute’s silence in homage to the martyrs.
Hawke’s Bay Airport’s carbon emission reduction efforts received significant international recognition recently, achieving the highest possible level of carbon accreditation; Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 4+ ‘Transition’. Hawke’s Bay Airport (HBAL) is the only airport in New Zealand to achieve the stringent 4+ Transition accreditation, and is now in an elite group of less than 45 airports worldwide in the ACA 4+ category, out of nearly 42,000 airports globally.
