ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID) participated in the External Affairs Meeting, organised by the China Civil Airports Association (CCAA), and hosted by Sunan Shuofang International Airport Ltd. in Wuxi, China. The event provided a platform for meaningful engagement with Chinese airport operators and industry stakeholders, reinforcing ACI’s commitment to supporting the sector’s development.
During the conference, Mr. Philip Kwok, Senior Manager, Economics, presented insights from the latest ACI World Airport Traffic Forecasts 2024–2053, highlighting the leading role of the Asia-Pacific region in driving global aviation growth. Notably, China is projected to contribute almost 20% of the total global growth, with an increase of over 2.6 billion passengers.
Recognising China’s strategic importance, ACI APAC & MID has been actively engaging with airport members across the country.
