- 2025-03-27
Airport International Group hosted its annual stakeholders Iftar last week, bringing together government officials, airline representatives, tenants and key aviation entities to commemorate the spirit of partnership and collective success.
The event underscored the shared commitment to advancing Jordan’s aviation sector and strengthening Queen Alia International Airport’s (QAIA) position as a vital regional gateway. It was also an opportunity to highlight recent achievements and discuss collaborative plans to drive QAIA’s continued growth and leadership in customer experience, operational excellence, innovation, sustainability and community empowerment - while capitalizing on the airport’s location, which offers minimal environmental and noise impact, as part of its journey toward becoming a climate-friendly airport.
Among the 2025 milestones celebrated were QAIA being named ‘Most Enjoyable Airport in the Middle East’ for the second time by Airports Council International World and the renewal of its Level 3 Airport Customer Experience Accreditation. QAIA also marked a strong start to the year, registering a 10.2% rise in year-to-date passenger traffic, recording the highest February passenger numbers in its history and welcoming Libyan Wings as a new airline partner.
During the event, Airport International Group CEO, Nicolas Deviller, emphasized the importance of collaboration in shaping a resilient and future-ready airport that serves both the Kingdom and the wider region, “We are gathering this evening during the holy month of Ramadan as one airport community to commemorate not just our achievements but the enduring partnerships that make them possible. I extend our sincere gratitude to our grantor, the Government of Jordan, as well as the public authorities, airline partners, tenants, security agencies and our exceptional employees for their unwavering support over the years. Each has played a vital role in shaping a world-class airport that feels like home for passengers from around the globe.”
He added, “As one of the most successful public-private partnerships in Jordan and the world, QAIA stands as a true testament to what strategic collaboration can do. With 2025 already off to a promising start, we look forward to what lies ahead and to working together toward one common goal - the ongoing success and growth of QAIA as Jordan’s prime gateway to the world.”
