AOT Awarded Green Airport Certificate 2021

Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), by Suvarnabhumi Airport, was issued with a certificate of green airport 2021 (Best Practice), from Green Airport Audit Committee, Department of Environmental Quality Promotion. The certificate shows the potential of AOT as an airport operator with excellence in environmental management together with eco-friendly tourism promotion.

The highlight of the award lies in passenger terminal design that includes energy conservation and environmental management with the application of data analysis and innovative technologies for the concrete solutions of the problems. These lead to the sustainability of the aviation industry development plan.

AOT performs activities relating to the environment and society responsibilities, taking into consideration climate change and carbon emission reduction in the transport sector. These activities are in accordance with Bio-Circular-Green Economy Model (BCG) under the Thai national strategy to be a good citizen of society and a good neighbor of communities under the concept of the “Corporate Citizenship Airport”.
