  • Grants of up to $1,000 are available to eligible local community groups and organisations
  • The grant application process is now open until 21 April 2024

Sunshine Coast Airport has announced a new $15,000 Community Support Fund with grant applications now open for eligible community groups and organisations.

Grants of up to $1,000 will be available to help deliver initiatives that support local community, tourism, cultural, sporting, educational and environmental activities on the Sunshine Coast and Noosa.

Sunshine Coast Airport CEO Chris Mills said the Community Support Fund would provide opportunities for local organisations to pursue projects that were important to them.

“Sunshine Coast Airport is a proud supporter of the local community,” Mr Mills said.

“The Community Support Fund will be a boost for community groups and organisations who are creating positive change in our region.

“A grant of up to $1000 could provide our local community with the opportunity to implement a project that may not have been possible without financial assistance.

“No project is too big, or too small - we encourage everyone who is eligible to apply.

“By supporting the local projects that matter, we can help make a lasting impact.”

Mr Mills said Sunshine Coast Airport’s success was only possible through the on-going support of the local community.

“We saw record passenger numbers through the Airport last year, servicing more destinations than ever before,” he said.

“Being able to reinvest back into the community who supports us is rewarding for the entire team at Sunshine Coast Airport. We look forward to seeing these projects become a reality.”

The grant application process for the Community Support Fund will run from 21 March until 21 April 2024. All applications must address at least one Community Support Pillar:

  • Environment and Sustainability
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Amazing Experiences
  • Connections
  • Opportunity and Growth
  • Pride of Place
