Auckland Airport Announces New Chief Financial Officer

  • 2024-07-25

Auckland Airport today announced that Stewart Reynolds has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer. Mr Reynolds has been the company’s Acting Chief Financial Officer since December 2023.

Auckland Airport Chief Executive Carrie Hurihanganui said as the airport gets underway with the biggest infrastructure programme in its history, financial rigour will be vital in remaining a financially strong and resilient business.

“After undertaking an extensive search it’s really pleasing to be able to appoint our next Chief Financial Officer from our own ranks. It speaks to the skills and financial leadership Stewart brings to the role, not just in his time as Acting CFO, but across the eight years he has been at the airport.”
Mr Reynolds said he is excited by the opportunity to become Chief Financial Officer at such a critical point in the airport’s transformation.

“I am proud to be leading the financial management of Auckland Airport as we progress this critical programme of work.  From our airfield to the terminals and transport systems, it will transform the airport experience and create a gateway that New Zealanders will be proud of, and visitors remember.”

Mr Reynolds joined Auckland Airport in 2016 as Head of Strategy, Planning and Performance. He has a Bachelor of Commerce & Administration (Accounting and Commercial Law) and is a chartered accountant. His appointment to the role will take effect on 2 August 2024.
