Brisbane Airport Noise Review

  • 2022-08-22

Brisbane Airport Corporation has welcomed today’s release of the Trax International report commissioned by Airservices Australia.

"Brisbane Airport wants to minimise the impact on our neighbouring communities. We welcome this independent report and look forward to working with all partners including airlines to reduce noise for residents," says Brisbane Airport Corporation Gert-Jan de Graaff CEO.

Brisbane Airport Corporation will continue engaging with residents, Airservices Australia, CASA and our airline partners to explore opportunities to minimise the impact of flights on Brisbane suburbs.

One of the ways to reduce aircraft noise for residents who live under the flight paths is to increase the number of flights that arrive and depart over Moreton Bay, with BNE eager to see this increased.

Brisbane Airport is committed to creating a sustainable, world-leading airport city that supports our community.

Currently 24,000 people are employed across Brisbane Airport with another 10,000 jobs to be generated between now and the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and Paralympic Games.
