Dance concert with “Bal Musette Paris” at ITM!

Kansai Airports is thrilled to announce the dance concert with Bal Musette Paris at Osaka International Airport (ITM) on October 26 and 27, 2024.


Bal musette is a dance party that gained immense popularity in the early 20th century in the working-class neighborhoods of Paris, featuring lively accordion music. This music culture evokes the nostalgia of France’s golden age.


In this upcoming event, dancers who are promoting bal musette in Paris will coming to Japan for the first time. You will have the opportunity to enjoy and be part of the concert featuring live accordion performance.
Kansai Airports Group will continue to create new travel experiences through engaging events and initiatives.

 

Date: October 26 (Saturday) and 27 (Sunday), 2024
Time and place:

  • Session 1 - 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. in front of the stained glass on the second floor of Osaka Monorail Station
  • Session 2 - 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. at the observation deck stage on the fourth floor of the south terminal
  • Session 3 - 3:00 – 3:45 p.m. at the stage in Yoshimoto Entame Shop on the fourth floor of the north terminal

  • Mini lecture about the history of bal musette 
  • Demonstration of authentic dance and dance lesson

Everyone is welcome to join two French dancers and an accordionist, who will teach you kindly.

Notes: If it rains, Session 2 will take place on the pedestrian deck in the central area of the second floor.
