- 2022-08-04
This week, Emirates Airline celebrated its 20th anniversary flying to Perth.
Perth Airport CEO Kevin Brown said that Emirates Airline and Perth Airport have maintained a strong partnership over the 20 years.
“Our partnership has grown even stronger with the airline restoring daily connectivity to Perth despite the challenges of a global pandemic.
“Emirates services are well regarded and highlights the airline’s commitment to the people and businesses of Western Australia.
“Over the past 20 years, Emirates has connected Western Australians across its extensive network of 150 global destinations.
"Back in 2015, Emirates was the first airline to introduce an A380 scheduled service to Perth, and we look forward to welcoming back its flagship A380 aircraft later this year from 1 December, 2022.
“Perth Airport will continue to work with our airline partners and the State Government to increase services to Perth as international airline connectivity is crucial for the tourism, business, and education sectors recovery.
Emirates commenced services in August 2002, operating four flights per week. Currently, Emirates Airlines operates a daily service between Perth and Dubai with a Boeing 777 aircraft.
