Hainan Airlines to Launch KIX-Xi'an Service

  • 21 Jun 2019

Kansai Airports is excited to announce that Hainan Airlines (HU) will be launching three-weekly flights between Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Xi'an on July 1, 2019.

This will be the third destination to mainland China offered by Hainan Airlines after Shenzhen and Haikou. The airline is well-reputed and was awarded the Skytrax World 5-Star Airline rating for the eighth consecutive year in 2018.

Xi'an, once known as Changan, is now the largest city in northwest China with various tourist attractions such as the Terracotta Army and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The new route will add up to a total of 18 weekly-flights between KIX and Xi'an (including connecting flights) and is expected to lead to further demand for air travel between the two destinations.

Kansai Airports is committed to expanding the aviation network to deliver a more convenient, comfortable and enjoyable travel experience for all airport guests.
