Kansai Airports Kobe signs an agreement with Kobe City towards a sustainable society using cooking oil

Kansai Airports Kobe is pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with Kobe City (Mayor Kizo Hisamoto), JGC Holdings Corporation (Representative Director, Chairman and CEO Masayuki Sato), REVO International Inc. (President & CEO Tetsuya Koshikawa), and NPO Blue Earth Project (Representative Satoshi Taniguchi) to promote cooking oil collection in Kobe City towards a sustainable society. This agreement aims to expand efforts to collect used cooking oil to be used as the raw material for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

 

Kansai Airports Group will continue to promote efforts to reduce environmental impact and  contribute to a further sustainable society.

 

Scope of cooperation
(1) Collection of used household cooking oil
(2) Production of SAF and other biomass fuels with used cooking oil
(3) Provision of opportunities to widely disseminate information on this project
(4) Other matters as needed for this agreement
