KIX Exclusive DASSAI 23 to be Launched

Kansai Airports is excited to announce the launch of the KIX-exclusive DASSAI 23 at our KIX DUTY FREE, starting Tuesday, February 4, 2025. This Junmai Daiginjo sake will be available only at Kansai International Airport (KIX).  

DASSAI 23, made from Yamada Nishiki rice, is one of DASSAI’s flagship products. The name is derived from its rice polishing ratio of 23%, meaning that the rice is ultimately polished down to just 23% of its original size. This process eliminates many impurities, delivering delicate floral aromas with a palate reminiscent of honey. 

This KIX-exclusive sake is brewed using only Yamada Nishiki rice produced in Hyogo and Shiga prefectures to showcase the excellence of Yamada Nishiki from the Kansai region. The decorative wooden box is made from Yoshino cedar, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail and the use of carefully curated materials unique to Kansai. This product is available in limited quantities only at KIX, so be sure to purchase it when departing on international flights.
