KIX to add three aircraft stands in the international cargo area of Phase 2 Island

Kansai Airports is pleased to announce the decision to add three stands to the existing seven stands in the international cargo area of Island 2 at Kansai International Airport (KIX). 

The new stands will be located adjacent to the North Pacific Regional Hub of FedEx. These new stands aim to accommodate the future expansion of cargo network at KIX and the development of the Kansai economy. 

We are targeting to put the new stands in service in FY2024, bringing the total of stands at KIX to 97. Kansai Airports will continue to work with stakeholders and make necessary investments to enhance the functions of KIX, the gateway to the Kansai region.

Place: International cargo area of Island 2
Stands to be installed: 3 stands accommodating up to Code E (including B747 and B777)
