PCR Test Clinic to Open at KIX

Kansai Airports today announced that PCR Test Clinic will open at Kansai International Airport (KIX) on December 13, 2021.

The new clinic will offer PCR tests as well as antigen and antibody tests for travelers departing on international flights. It will be the second location at KIX where passengers can take a PCR test. By providing various COVID-19 testing options and expanding the airport’s testing capabilities, the clinic is expected to contribute to safe and secure air travel and the recovery of passenger demand at the airport.

Kansai Airports Group will continue to make every effort to provide a safe airport environment for all passengers.

How to book:

1. Visit the website of COVID-19 Testing Center for Overseas Travelers (TeCOT). Booking opens at 12 pm on December 13.
2. Visit the website of the PCR Test Clinic. Booking opens at 12 pm on December 8.
3. Call +81-72-456-6243 between 12 pm – 9 pm. Booking opens at 12 pm on December 13.

1.    Real-time RT-PCR Test    22,000 yen (tax inclusive)
Hours:    3 hours at the earliest from arriving in the reception to getting the result Specimen:   Nasopharyngeal swab (by a nurse) or saliva (self-collection)

2.    Antigen Test    11,000 yen (tax inclusive)
Hours:    1.5 hours at the earliest from arriving in the reception to getting the result Specimen:   Nasopharyngeal swab (by a nurse)

3.    IgM Antibody Test    11,000 yen (tax inclusive)
Hours:     1.5 hours at the earliest from arriving in the reception to getting the result Specimen:   Blood sampling (by a nurse)
Notes:       The clinic is currently preparing for the registration as a medical institution designated by the Chinese Embassy and Consulates. The negative test certificate issued by the clinic cannot be used for the entry into China.

*The cost includes the testing and a test result certificate in English.
The clinic will accept credit card payment only. The tests will not be covered by insurance.
