Steve Saxon and Chin Leong Teo to Speak at the 18th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference & Exhibition

Mr. Steve Saxon, Partner at McKinsey & Company and Mr. Chin Leong Teo, Director, Consultancy of Changi Airport Group are set to keep the audience engaged in an enlightening conversation on greater stakeholder collaboration to promote efficiency in the aviation value chain during the 18th ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly, Conference & Exhibition on 16-18 May 2023 in Kobe, Japan.

Due to the dramatic decline in passenger footfall caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, airport operators and other stakeholders in the aviation ecosystem, particularly those providing airport services such as security, ground handling, and airport commercial services, have faced severe financial issues. The key to achieving efficiency in the airport value chain is innovative thinking in pursuing opportunities, increased information sharing, strengthening resilience, and fulfilling ever-changing consumer expectations. All of this must be done while keeping environmental sustainability at the forefront.

Participating in the panel 'Aviation Value Chain- What hasn't worked?', Mr. Saxon and Mr. Teo will enlighten the audience on the new avenues for greater industry stakeholder collaboration.

Mr. Saxon is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Shenzhen office. He leads McKinsey’s Travel, Logistics & Infrastructure Practice in China, and our travel work across Asia. Mr. Saxon's knowledge spans shipping business growth, ports, airline transformation and strategy, commercial airlines, logistics, urban transit, and China travel and tourism. He currently leads McKinsey’s knowledge development on the Chinese outbound tourist.

Mr. Teo is Director Consultancy at Changi Airports International, the investment and consultancy arm of Changi Airport Group. He has 20 years of regulatory, operating, consultancy and investment experience in the airport space. Prior to CAI, he was Chief Commercial Officer (Aero) at Fukuoka Airport, Japan, where he pioneered new airport products, and led Fukuoka Airport to industry leading international slots application growth even during the COVID pandemic.
