The President of GACA Meets The Director General of Airports Council International for The Asia Pacific Region

His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, met today with the Director General of Airports Council International for the Asia Pacific region, Mr. Stefano Baronsi, accompanied by the manager of Security and Facilitation at the Council, Mr. Gary Leung, at GACA’s headquarters in Riyadh.
 
A meeting was held to review the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Airports Council International (ACI) for the Asia-Pacific region, and to discuss some of the initiatives and accreditation programs offered by the Council to enhance and raise the level of participation between the Kingdom’s airports and the Council. This in addition to discussing opportunities and challenges and to highlight the efforts of GACA and its partners in the transition phase for airports from GACA to become independent business entities under Matarat Holding Company.
 

It is worth noting that the visit of the Director General of the ACI Asia-Pacific to the Kingdom comes with the aim of discussing partnership opportunities and exchanging experiences in the airport sector and related services with the Airports Council International (ACI). This in addition to strengthening relations with the most prominent international organizations and companies in the aviation industry.
 
Furthermore, and within the objectives of the sector’s strategy, GACA is keen to enhance cooperation and partnership with international organizations in the aviation industry and raise the operational efficiency and level of services for the airport sector in the Kingdom. All in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to advance the air transport industry in accordance with best international practices and standards.
