The Trinity Forum 2024 – The World’s Leading Airport Retail Trade Forum Makes Its Debut in Ho Chi Minh City

On November 5-6, 2024, the world-renowned The Trinity Forum 2024 – the leading airport retail trade forum – will be held for the first time at the Gem Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Hosted by Airports Corporation of Vietnam – JSC (ACV) and Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG), the event will offer a significant opportunity to exchange experiences in aviation, tourism, and retail development while promoting and attracting investment for tourism commerce in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam as a whole.
This prestigious global forum, known for its effectiveness, will gather over 400 guests, speakers, industry experts, international airport leaders, and senior executives from top airport retail and aviation service corporations such as Avolta, China Duty Free, Qatar Duty Free, Diageo Global Travel, Dubai Duty Free, and Lotte Duty Free.

Founded by The Moodie Davitt Report, in partnership with Airports Council International (ACI) World and ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East, The Trinity Forum is dedicated to maximizing the potential of airport commercial spaces, enhancing passenger experiences, and creating sustainable added value for the aviation and travel retail industries.
Opening The Trinity Forum 2024, Martin Moodie, founder and Chairman of The Moodie Davitt Report; Stefano Baronci, Director General, ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East; Vice Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; and the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises will deliver welcome addresses to inaugurate the forum. Following that, Vũ Thế Phiệt, Chairman of ACV, and Johnathan Hạnh Nguyễn, founder and Chairman of IPPG, will warmly welcome all international guests and share the honor of hosting the event in Vietnam for the first time.
Under the theme “Driving Innovation to Stay Relevant in a Rapidly Changing Consumer Landscape,” The Trinity Forum 2024 will feature panel discussions on topics such as airport experience innovation, airport expansion and development strategies, the future of travel retail, optimizing passenger experience, and smart consumer trends.
Highlights include “Enhancing Experiences and Meeting Diverse Customer Needs” by Thabet Musleh, Qatar Airways’ Vice President of Retail and Hospitality, and “Pioneering the Future of Elevated Airport Experiences” by Xavier Rossinyol, CEO of Avolta, a leader in duty-free and airport dining. The session “Transforming Commercial Experiences at Riyadh Airport” will feature Abdulaziz Al-Asaker, Chief Commercial Officer of Riyadh Airports, and Hugo Vanderschaegh, Director of Altavia Travel Retail, promising important insights into emerging global airport consumption trends. Representatives from ACV’s Long Thanh International Airport Operations Committee will also share on “Modern Technology Applications to Maximize Operational Efficiency in a Newly Constructed Airport,” drawing keen interest from attendees.
Additionally, consumer behavior shifts, the necessity of sustainable development, continuous product and service innovation, and strategic marketing trends for the next decade will be discussed and shared by senior leaders and industry experts.
Opportunities for Vietnam’s Aviation and Retail Sectors
On the second day, the forum will delve into Vietnam’s aviation, tourism, and travel retail potential, exploring cooperation and growth opportunities. Hosted by Martin Moodie, founder of The Moodie Davitt Report, the discussion will include ACV subsidiary leaders from Noi Bai International Airport and Tan Son Nhat Airport Services JSC (SASCO), alongside IPPG representative Phillip Nguyen, CEO of IPP Travel Retail.
The discussions offer valuable groundwork for cooperation and investment in Vietnam’s aviation, travel, and travel retail sectors, supporting economic growth, improving service quality, creating jobs, and increasing income for industry personnel. With more than 400 CEOs and senior executives from over 80 international corporations across 30 countries attending, this event will also provide Ho Chi Minh City a chance to showcase its unique cultural character, promote tourism, and attract diverse investments.
In his speech, Vũ Thế Phiệt, Chairman of ACV, emphasized: “The Trinity Forum 2024 is a pivotal milestone, opening up opportunities to foster cooperation and investment from international partners in both aviation and non-aviation services at airports throughout Vietnam, especially in major national projects like Long Thanh International Airport, Terminal 3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and the expansion of Terminal 2 at Noi Bai International Airport. ACV welcomes opportunities for collaboration with international partners to learn, adopt, and apply best practices and the latest technology across its airports, aiming to enhance service quality and passenger experience.”
