Velana International Airport Breaks its Record on Runway Movements

Velana International Airport (VIA) breaks its previous record on runway movements in a single Day on 24^th February 2019.

Maldives Airports Company Ltd’s (MACL) Air Traffic Management Services confirms that on 24 February 2019, 93 International, 111 Domestic & 15 Ad-hoc runway movements took place. 219 is the highest recorded runway movements against the previous 214 runway movements on 6^th January 2019.
