The 19th Meeting of the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East Regional Environment Committee meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, from 10-12 September 2024 concluded with key outcomes that include a continued focus on collaboration with airlines in areas such as cabin waste management, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and renewable energy for aircraft.
Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) has achieved an exciting milestone in handling cargo in August 2024. The Integrated Cargo Terminal (ICT) at the Airport handled 604.61 tonnes of cargo – the highest tonnage since the operationalisation of ICT in May 2023. This included 332.05 tonnes of domestic and 272.56 tonnes of international cargo.

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), signed a strategic agreement with The Arabian Petroleum Supply Company (APSCO), a renowned energy company with a rich history in the Middle East's petroleum industry. The signing ceremony took place at Awal Private Terminal to formalize the strategic agreement.

To mark this milestone, BAC hosted a special ceremony at BIA, attended by key representatives from both organizations.
Flight check of the reconfigured Centre Runway at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) was successfully completed, marking a key milestone of readiness for the three-runway operation.
