Airports in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East regions are setting new benchmarks in passenger experience. 35 airports out of a total 95 airports globally were recognised in the prestigious 2024 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards by Airports Council International (ACI). Collectively, airports in the region won 68 awards, across categories.

On 16 May 2022, Airports Council International World (ACI World), Airports Council International Asia-Pacific (ACI Asia-Pacific) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to conduct research and studies and develop and deliver training for aviation professionals. The training will equip aviation professionals with new knowledge and skills to help them rebuild their respective aviation sectors which have been badly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic in the last two years.

ACI Asia-Pacific is calling on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India to maintain the status quo of the existing per passenger duty-free liquor allowance of two litres and one carton of cigarettes.
