The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
ACI Asia-Pacific is calling on the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India to maintain the status quo of the existing per passenger duty-free liquor allowance of two litres and one carton of cigarettes.

The Board of ACI Asia-Pacific announced today it has appointed Mr. Stefano Baronci as Director General for Asia-Pacific. Mr. Baronci currently serves as Director of Economics at ACI World in Montreal, Canada. He will take up his new position in Hong Kong in December 2019.
ACI Asia-Pacific commends Australia’s Productivity Commission for reaching the conclusion in its inquiry on the economic regulation of airports that the existing light-handed economic regulation approach continues to be fit for purpose.
