The topic of rising airfare trends was one of the focal points of discussions among airport leaders during the Board Meeting of the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East (ACI APAC & MID), hosted by Cambodia Airports, in Phnom Penh.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited, today proudly announces the launch of its state-of-the-art Self Service Bag Drop (SSBD) Quick Drop Solution at Delhi Airport. With this, Delhi Airport become the first airport in India and the second in the world after Toronto, Canada to implement this cutting-edge technology.
Kansai Airports Kobe is excited to announce that a “Summer Vacation Early Morning Family Runway Walk” will take place at Kobe Airport on July 20 to provide an opportunity to have visitors come close to airports and aircraft. Elementary and junior high school students are invited to walk on the runway, which is usually off limits to the public, and view parked aircraft and chemical fire trucks during morning hours before the start of airport operation.
Auckland Airport yesterday hosted 80 female high school students across three of its major development sites, for Infrastructure New Zealand’s ‘Girls in Infrastructure®’ program. The event highlights the significant contributions of women in the infrastructure sector and aims to inspire the next generation of female leaders in this field.
The maintenance program is managed by a dedicated Bahraini team, which includes qualified engineers from the Airside and Landside Maintenance team who manage the entire operation. The planning for Airside Ground Lighting infrastructure is executed by a 20-member team of Airfield Ground Lighting technicians, working in four shifts.
In line with growth and expansion plans, Sharjah Airport and Air Arabia announced the launch of the first direct flights from Sharjah to Republic of Poland, enhancing travel options for customers. The new route will initially operate with 3 weekly flights between Sharjah and Kraków, gradually increasing the number of flights in the future.

Macau International Airport (MIA) continues to expand more diversified flight routes and airlines, aiming to optimize the network coverage for departures from Macau and enhance the travel experience for passengers. As more and more airlines joined, passengers departing from Macau can utilize the one-ticket-through-baggage-check service, making it easy to reach out to different countries and regions.
In a celebratory atmosphere, Sharjah Airport has begun receiving the first batches of pilgrims returning to the UAE after performing the Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia. The airport employees are working to assist the pilgrims in quickly completing their arrival procedures at the airport and enhancing their comfort.
