AOT Strengthens COVID-19 Measures to Ensure Passengers’ Confidence Travelling During the Outbreak

Airports of Thailand Plc (AOT) has provided strict sanitation measures for COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control at all six airports under its supervision, namely Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport, Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport, Phuket International Airport and Hat Yai International Airport to ensure passengers and airport users’ confidence amid the outbreak.
To reduce the spread of COVID-19, in the Transport New Normal era, AOT has increased the frequency of deep cleaning on frequently touched areas with antiseptic solutions such as luggage trays, handrails, elevator button panels, luggage trolleys, chairs, counters (airline, information, immigrations), ATM machines and baggage carousel etc.
AOT also provides sanitizing mats and hand sanitizers at various service points as well as arranging big cleaning such as spraying disinfectants around the airport terminals including the terminal curbside and outside the office areas.
Additionally, airport staff must wear face masks and gloves at all time while working in the airport area. AOT also keeps updating news with relevant agencies in order to monitor, evaluate, and exchange information for fully readiness and immediate response.
Moreover, AOT staff strictly monitor passengers and airport users entering the airport terminal area to wear face masks at all time, have a body temperature checked (body temperature should not be higher than 37.3 degree Celsius) and also keep social distancing.
