Dubai Airports CEO Mr. Paul Griffiths to speak at WAGA 2024

Dubai Airports CEO Mr. Paul Griffiths is the latest industry leader to join an increasingly influential speaking line-up for the ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East/ ACI World Annual General Assembly, Conference and Exhibition scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 21-23 May 2023.


Griffiths is a visionary leader, and one of the most-respected executives in the airport industry. Under Mr. Griffiths' nearly two-decade long leadership, Dubai Airports has established itself as the world's busiest airport for international passengers, and No.1 airport in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East regions for superior air connectivity. 

In the face of the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 crisis, Mr. Griffiths' adept leadership enabled DXB to emerge as a global leader in the recovery of air travel, surpassing pre-pandemic traffic levels in 2023. Strategically anticipating and preparing for growth, he navigated the crisis effectively, positioning DXB ahead of projections. Throughout 2022-23, under Mr. Griffiths' guidance, DXB accommodated double-digit growth in passenger numbers and achieved significant enhancements in the airport experience, ensuring a seamless journey for tens of millions of guests from curb to boarding gates.


Jointly organised by Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific & Middle East and ACI World, and hosted by Riyadh Airports Company, WAGA 2024 is centered around the theme ‘The Global Race: How to Stand Out in a Competitive Airport Ecosystem.’ 


This event will explore key topics such as enhancing competitiveness, environmental sustainability, connectivity, market liberalisation, air cargo, and tourism, providing attendees with valuable insights and strategies to navigate the challenges of the industry.
