Event to Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Kansai International Airport

Kansai Airports is excited to announce an event on September 4, 2024 to celebrate the 30th  anniversary of Kansai International Airport (KIX). This event is to show our gratitude to passengers and airport staff for their continued support on our activities.

 

On the day, ground staff from five Japanese airlines and Kansai Airports employees will jointly sendoff departing flights, and airport staff will distribute stickers commemorating the 30th  anniversary of Kansai Airport's official character, “Sorayan.” Kansai Airports Group will continue to host various events and share information to spread the charm of the airports and the joy of travel to all visitors.

 

  • Joint send-off event by 5 airlines operating in KIX
    Date: Wednesday, September 4, 2024
    Location: From the aircraft parking stand of the participating flights
    Description: Ground staff from five Japanese airlines and Kansai Airports will hold a joint event, using banners to send off departing flights.
    Participating airlines and flights: Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JL2501, 09:10 to Sapporo)
    All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (NH1735, 10:10 to Naha), Peach Aviation Limited (MM205, 11:15 to Amami), Jetstar Japan Co., Ltd. (GK226, 13:15 to Narita), Star Flyer Inc. (MQ24, 14:15 to Haneda) along with Kansai Airports staff
  • Giveaway by Kansai Airports Group employees and airport staff
    Date: Wednesday, September 4, 2024, 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    Locations: Terminal 1: 1F (International and domestic arrivals), 2F (Domestic departures), Terminal 2: Domestic departures and arrivals
    Description: Kansai Airports Group employees and airport staff will distribute “30th Anniversary Sorayan Stickers” at various locations in the airport. The official character of Kansai Airports, “Sorayan,” will also make an appearance to celebrate.
    Note: Stickers will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and available until supplies run out.
