
Macau International Airport Held the “Soaring for 30 Years” Route Promotion Event In the Community

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Macau International Airport, Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) successfully hosted the “Soaring for 30 Years – Macau International Airport Route Promotion Event” on 30th March 2025 at NOVA Mall Macau. The event was attended by Mr. Simon Chan, Chairman of the Executive Committee of CAM, and Mr. Eric Fong, Director of the Marketing Department of CAM. Ms. Cristina Silva, Air Transport and International Relations Director from Macau Civil Aviation Authority, and Ms. Cora Vong, Head of the Marketing Division of the Macao Government Tourism Office, also graced the occasion.
The event adopted a hybrid format combining online and offline participation, attracting a lot of local citizens and visitors to join on-site. Over 20 airlines, local travel agencies and maritime passenger transport operators from the Greater Bay Area participated in the route promotion event. Additionally the live stream held in collaboration with Tongcheng Travel received enthusiastic responses, garnered over 1.38 million views.
The event commenced with an energetic dance performance, followed by a series of singing performances, interactive games and themed videos from airlines, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. Chairman Chan, warmly welcomed the audience and expressed his hopes for continuing to support the development of Macau International Airport. He stated that the airport would further upgrade its services and facilities to meet the future needs of travellers.
Subsequently, Mr. Eric Fong, Director of the Marketing Department, gave a brief presentation, “Macau International Airport currently operates 26 domestic and international routes, covering the Mainland of China, China Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, and other key regions. In the future, we will continue to enhance our transit services to support Macau’s integration into the Greater Bay Area’s ‘multi-destination’ tourism framework, further strengthening the regional competitiveness.”
During the event, over 900 exclusive Macau International Airport souvenirs, airline-themed gifts and 80 round-trip air tickets departing from Macau were given away, delighting the participants. Additionally, the event introduced Macau International Airport’s international transit flights connecting Europe and the Americas, as well as its convenient interline services, aiming to enhance public awareness of its global air network and reinforce its role as a key transit hub in the western Greater Bay Area.
