  • 2024-07-05

Familiarization training on assistance to stranded customers and multilingual support

Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that we will hold a flood season drill at Kansai International  Airport (KIX) on July 12, 2024.

The purpose of this drill is to strengthen the multilingual support system and to provide an efficient assistance to stranded customers, simulating a situation where public transportation becomes out of service after KIX is directly hit by a typhoon and customers are forced to spend the night at the airport. The drill includes familiarization training on the processes using the Emergency Information Card, which was introduced to ensure appropriate care according to the needs and language of individual customers. The drill will take place at Terminal 2, and we aim to improve our multilingual support as well as assistance for stranded customers.

Through drills, we aspire to raise awareness of disaster prevention among airport employees and check proper procedures to ensure safe airport operations and further strengthen the system to disseminate information to our customers.

Kansai Airports Group will continue to maintain the safety that supports travels and to create an  environment that facilitates customers to use our airports without worries.
