GMR Led Manohar International Airport in Goa Wins Two Prestigious National 14th CIDC Vishwakrma Awards-2023

GMR Goa International Airport Ltd (GGIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd today announced that its newly inaugurated Manohar International Airport, in North Goa has clinched two prestigious awards at 14th CIDC VISHWAKRMA AWARDS-2023. These are - Achievement Award for Best Construction Project 2023 and Achievement Award for Construction Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) 2023.

Manohar International Airport bagged these awards for scoring high on various parameters laid down by Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC). These parameters are - innovative design, best practices of project management, new methodologies in construction management, finest quality of workmanship, exceptional contracts management, cost control, value engineering, excellent safety and environment policies and practice.

A team of three CIDC members led by Dr. P. R. Swarup, Director General, CIDC conducted airport site inspection and detailed documentation review. After that a jury panel comprising 10 members, chaired by Dr. Pradip Bhargava, IAS (Retd.), former Additional Chief Secretary, Govt of Madhya Pradesh did a detailed analysis and finalized the winners.

These awards were presented in a ceremony organized by CIDC under the auspices of Planning Commission, Nitti Aayog, Government of India during the annual summit - INDIA CONSTRUCTION MEET 2023 at New Delhi.
