Hong Kong International Airport Launches "World of Winners" Air Ticket Giveaway Campaign in Guangzhou

  • 2023-04-22

The "World of Winners" air ticket giveaway campaign, sponsored by Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), was launched in Guangzhou. A promotional launch event saw up to 300 free air tickets being given away as prizes, and thousands of local residents participated the event.

Officiated by Vivian Cheung, Chief Operating Officer of AAHK, and representatives from home-based airlines, transportation and tourism and trade organisations from Hong Kong, the event showcased the robust resumption of traffic at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). As the preferred gateway for residents of Greater Bay Area (GBA), HKIA is ready to welcome regional and international travellers as they visit Hong Kong after the lifting of anti-pandemic restrictions.

Artists from Hong Kong showed up in the event, performing classic Cantopop songs and playing entertaining games with attendees, creating a buzzing atmosphere. An array of new airport facilities designed to provide a better-than-ever passenger experience were showcased at the event and exhibition, as well as efficient and extensive land and sea transport network links with cities around the GBA.

Around 20 media organisations – as well as influential opinion leaders from Guangzhou and surrounding areas – were invited to cover the event, maximising the event’s impact throughout the GBA and around the country.

Created in support of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government’s “Hello Hong Kong” promotional campaign, “World of Winners” aims to welcome visitors back to the city and to support the recovery of Hong Kong’s aviation industry in the post-pandemic era. AAHK has sponsored 500,000 tickets offered by three Hong Kong-based carriers to travellers worldwide. Of the 500,000 tickets, 80,000 tickets will be distributed to residents of the GBA, valid for flights to around 26 countries all around the world via HKIA.
