Housing to be provided to Maldives Airports Company Ltd Staff

The Ground Breaking Ceremony of MACL HIYAA (housing) project was held on 12^th February 2018 at Hulhumale 2^nd Phase.  

The colourful ceremony was attended by the chief guest Hon. Economic Minister Mr. Mohamed Saeed, Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL) Managing Director Mr. Adil Moosa and board members along with MACL staff & Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) staff. At the ceremony Economic Minister emphasized government’s role to provide housing for the general public and government institution while MD of MACL stated that this project will greatly benefit the MACL staff’s wellbeing.

The mega housing project at Hulhumale 2^nd phase was initiated by His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom to provide social housing for the public and also to the staff of government institutions.   Under the MACL HIYAA project 2 towers of 15 storey each will be built with configurations of 1 room and 3 plus 1 room apartments. The contractor of this project BUCG and this project is set to start soon.
