ITAMI now ready for EV charging service "WeCharge" making the airport convenient for all EV users

Kansai Airports is delighted to announce the start of operation of “WeCharge," an EV charging service in the reserved car pak space at Osaka International Airport (ITM).
With this service, EV car owners will be able to charge their cars at the airport using a mobile application and can complete the procedure from reserving a slot to making the payment. A total of 184 EV charging outlets, the largest number of EV chargers in any airport in Japan*, is now ready to meet the expected increase in demand for EVs in the future. The introduction of this service is expected to promote the usage of EVs and improve convenience for those who use airport car parks with vehicles.
Kansai Airports Group will continue to proactively adopt initiatives to reduce environmental impact and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

About WeCharge; EV charging service
WeCharge is an EV charging service provided by Ubiden, Inc. (Headquarter: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO & Co-Founder: Norio Yamaguchi). With a dedicated mobile application, users can easily register and make payments with a smartphone. This service is currently being expanded to condominiums, apartments, and buildings throughout Japan. The most significant feature of this service is that EVs can be charged wherever WeCharge is available, whether at hotels or commercial facilities.

- *Reservation of the slot is needed using the WeCharge mobile application.
