Kansai Airport Tour - "Let’s go to the Airport! Know the Customs!"

150th anniversary of Japan Customs and opening commemoration of T1 Renovation Phase 1

Kansai Airports and the Kansai Airport Branch of Osaka Customs are delighted to hold “Let’s go to the Airport! Know the Customs!” tour on Sunday, November 20. This tour is dedicated to elementary school students and their guardians living near the Kansai International Airport (KIX). 

This event aims to provide visitors with a fun way to learn about KIX facilities and the work of customs. 

During this event, visitors will tour the facilities of the Terminal 1 building, including the new domestic area which opened on October 26 as Phase 1 of the T1 Renovation project, as well as the customs immigration inspection area, and see the demonstrations with drug-sniffing dogs. This is a joint event between KIX and Japan Customs which will celebrate its 150-year anniversary in November.

Kansai Airports Group will continue to deliver exciting events to boost the appeal of the airports and the joy of travel for all airport guests.

Content:

• Introduction of the work of Customs including a tour of the customs entry inspection area and a demonstration of drug-sniffing dogs 
• Tour of facilities at KIX Terminal 1, including the new domestic area, work experience at the international check-in counter, and greetings by Kansai Airports Group’s official character "Sorayan"

*Winners will be notified by email by the end of Tuesday, November 15
