Kansai Airports Group promotes Plastics Smart initiatives, a step towards Plastic-Free Airports

Kansai Airports Group has been actively driving Plastics Smart inititatives in pursuit of turning its three airports—Kansai International Airport, Osaka International Airport and Kobe Airport—plastic free.


Sharing the objectives of Osaka’s Plastic Waste Zero declaration and the Environment Ministry’s Plastics Smart campaign, Kansai Airports Group has made a commitment to achieving the targets for Japan's Plastic Recycling Strategy by 2022, ahead of the government target year, through 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) activities.

 

Kansai Airports Group requested to each airport communities to eliminate single-use plastics through the “Airport Environmental Promotion Councils”.

 

 

KAP Group will continue to strive for a sustainable society and harmonious coexistence with the surrounding environment by vigorously promoting initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
