KIX 30th Anniversary Sky Day Festival 2024 to Be Held Come and Join Us to Get to Know Airport and Aviation

Kansai Airports is pleased to announce that KIX 30th Anniversary Sky Day Festival 2024, organized by Sky Day and Sky Season Committee of Kansai International Airport (KIX), will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Sky Day is a commemorative day established in 1992 with the aim of encouraging more people to understand and take an interest in aviation. September 20 is designated as Sky Day, and the period from September 20 to 30 as Sky Season. This event is held to commemorate Sky Day and Sky Season, to promote interest in aviation, and to familiarize people with the airport.

On the day of the event, participating organizations will set up booths and host stage events in the concourse of Kansai Airport Station. Special vehicles, police cars, and fire trucks used at the airport will be on display in the Sky View Observation Hall at KIX, providing something enjoyable for both children and adults. 

Kansai Airports Group will continue to collaborate with our partners to deliver the enchantment of airports and travel to more people

· Mobile rescue drill demonstrations, tour of Kansai Airport Coast Guard Air Base
· Flea market at the observation hall “Sky View”
· Tour of Air Traffic Control Tower of West Japan Civil Aviation Bureau Kansai Airport Office*
· Tour of KIX service road and firefighting facilities* and others
