Macau International Airport Livestream with Tongcheng Travel

To celebrate Macau International Airport (MIA) upcoming 30th anniversary, the airport will roll out series of vibrant and engaging events with industry peers and travellers to celebrate this important milestone.

On 26th December 2024, MIA partnered with Tongcheng Travel to host MIA first-ever live stream activity at Departure Level of the airport, which kick off an array of celebration activities for MIA 30th anniversary in the coming year. The two-hour live stream session partnership with the Macau Government Tourism Office and Air Macau, aiming to promote Macau tourism, the airport’s network, travel experiences through an array of online and offline promotional initiatives.
 

During the live stream, representative from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), together with the official host from Tongcheng introduced the airport services, multimodal transportation options, route networks of MIA, as well as offered exclusive air fare discounts. The initiative marked the first attempt by MIA to promote routes through online streaming. During the live streaming, the number of online viewers exceeded 1.59 million, and generated an impressive RMB 1.3 million in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) for air ticket to Macau in two hours, with receiving enthusiastic responses and results exceeding expectations. MIA hopes to cooperate with more travel e-commerce platforms in the future to launch various promotions and campaigns to attract more tourists travel with Macau International Airport.
