Miniature Life X Kobe Airport Museum To Open At Kobe

  • 2022-06-28

Kansai Airports Kobe is excited to announce that it will open miniature photographer and resemblance artist Tatsuya Tanaka’s first permanent museum “MINIATURE LIFE x KOBE AIRPORT” in early autumn 2022 at Kobe Airport (KOBE). Tanaka is renowned for his unique miniature artworks and recently made a huge success showcasing his creations at the Expo 2020 Dubai's Japan Pavilion.

Under the concept of “a theme park where adults and children alike can enjoy flying and plane watching,” the one-and-only museum will open with two exhibition rooms in KOBE’s rooftop area where visitors can get a panoramic view of the airport. In the rooftop lawn area, a gigantic broccoli object will pop up and entertain viewers by evoking a sense of becoming a miniature piece in the world of MINIATURE LIFE. What is more, artworks created through a tie-up with companies who support the airport’s vitalization will be displayed across the terminal building.

A collection of playful works featured in this project is expected to provide a lot of fun and a unique, oneof-its-kind airport experience to visitors to KOBE. Kansai Airports Group continues to create a new travel experience that offers excitement and puts a big smile on the face of all customers.

More details will be available at event's official website.
