New Domestic Area of KIX Set to Be Opened on October 26

Kansai Airports is excited to announce that the date for the opening of new domestic area of Kansai International Airport Terminal 1, which is currently under renovation, is set to be Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

In the new domestic area, the airside commercial area will be greatly expanded with newly opened six shops with a rich Kansai flavor (4 restaurants and 2 retail shops) and a domestic lounge accessible to the targeted passengers. The area will be transformed as an attractive space where passengers can enjoy shopping and dining while waiting for boarding.

In the landside, shops including the food court “Tasty Street” will open on Saturday, October 1, 2022, ahead of the full opening of the area, so as to satisfy various needs.

Kansai Airports Group will continue to take initiatives that excite customers and will work to strengthen the functions of Kansai International Airport, a gateway to the Kansai region, that welcomes customers from Japan and overseas, while putting priorities on safety and security.
