Muan International Airport is located in the hinterland of Gwangju, the fourth largest metropolitan area in South Korea, and Gwangju is accessible by bus from the airport in approximately one hour. Gwangju, located in Jeolla Province in the southwestern part of South Korea is known as a city of art, with the world-renowned “Gwangju Biennale” international art festival held every two years.

Gwangju is also popular for its gourmet food, known as the “Five Flavors of Gwangju,” which includes kimchi, hanjeongsik (Korean set meals), barley rice, tteokgalbi, and duck soup. Why not join the crowd and indulge yourself to explore the nooks and crannies of the local markets when you visit Gwangyu?

Mokpo, located about 30 minutes by bus from Muan International Airport, was developed as a fishing town, and visitors can enjoy seafood dishes and abundant nature such as Yudalsan Mountain and the marine cable car.

Currently, there is no direct service between Tokyo and Muan, and LJ’s new flight service will be the first direct flight to Muan for Narita Airport in about five years, which is expected to generate new air traffic demand in both inbound and outbound directions.

With the launch of LJ‘s new direct service to Muan, air travel will be an additional option for access to Jeolla Province, which was previously possible only by rail or bus from other cities.

Please take advantage of Narita Airport's enhanced network.
